Abstract

The purpose of research was to determine the effect of leadership style on organizational commitment of educators at integrated educational of an early age Tunas Mulia, in addition, to determine the dimensions of leadership style which have a dominant influence on organizational commitment. Analytical tools used in this research were range scale, multiple linier regression, F test, and t test. Respondents in this research were all educators and total sampling was use for sampling technique. The results of analysis range scale showed variable transactional leadership style is high, variable transformational leadership style is very high, and variable organizational commitment is high, the results of analysis showed that the variables of leadership style consist of transformational leadership style and transformational leadership style influence the organizational commitment of educators at integrated educational of an early age Tunas Mulia, based on multiple linier regression of transactional leadership which got 0, 540 and transformational leadership style which got 0,599, and from F test which got 26,421. The results of t test showed that transformational leadership style has more influence to organizational commitment which got 4,976, meanwhile, transactional leadership style got 2,905. Based on conclusion, it is suggested to the leader of integrated educational of an early age Tunas Mulia to keep the combination of leadership style between transactional leadership style and transformational leadership style for maintaining and improving organizational commitment of educators.
