Abstract

This study aims to determine the factors to be considered in job placement and job analysis to determine the factors most considered in a work placement at PT. Bara Jaya Energy Balikpapan in East Kalimantan. The usefulness of this research, especially for the company that is the basis for employment to match the field of work and the capabilities of employees. The research sample of all employees at PT. Bara Jaya Energy Balikpapan East Kalimantan as many as 98 employees by the sampling method, namely the total sampling. Data analysis methods in studies using factor analysis, according to the Maholtra quote in Widayat and Amirullah (2002:145) explains that the factor analysis is a group of procedures used to reduce the data, summarizing of many into one or several factors. Mathematically the factor analysis model is the following : Xi = Ai1 F1 + Ai2 F2 + Ai3 F3 +.......+ Aim Fm + Vi Ui. Based on the research and discussion that has been done, it can be concluded that there are four factors considered in work placements at PT. Bara Jaya Energy Balikpapan in East Kalimantan which includes attitude towards co-workers and jobs, the ability to work, the suitability of the field of work and job skills. Factors attitude towards co-workers and most jobs are considered in a work placement at PT. Bara Jaya Energy Balikpapan in East Kalimantan. Suggestion that submitted for PT. Bara Jaya Energy Balikpapan Kalimantan Timur, which is expected to become the management intermediary in the event of problems among employees at the company. Expected management seeks to give guidance to employees to work in accordance with the conditions set. In order to create a positive attitude towards work expected of employees the company always strives to assign tasks or work in proportion to the work that has been set.
