Abstract

Mass media as information source to open a discourse which there is outside becomes of vital importance for some people feeling thirsty to an information. One of mass media that is popular enough among public is print mass media becoming one of information source that is popular enough. News about some problems which there is in common public become value to sell that can increase read enthusiasm. News in a mass media has way of different approach from some corners. Every mass media has corner and way of different approach in standing a phenomenon which there is wide public. News that is recently enough confiscating much attention is execution three punished by first Bali bomb case death that is Amrozi, Mukhlas and Imam Samudera. A few this last days’ public like forced to pay attention to execution of first Bali bomb perpetrator. This thing is undeniable because the tragedy eats many victims especially from outside country. Tragedy happened in Paddy's Bali Club by 12 Octobers 2002 eats victim 202 tourists either from outside country and also in country likely has separate fascination for always is kept abreast of it. On the other side overseas interference also undeniable at all these even a depth is policy full of government of Indonesia. Sees the phenomenon hence researcher interests to do research? What understanding of public to execution news of capital punishment of first Bali bomb case at daily of Jawa Pos Edition 25 Oktober-10 November 2008? This research applies qualitative research approach, because this research aims to explain phenomenon profusely through data collecting profusely (Kiryantono, 2006: 58). Qualitative method is research method applied to check at condition of object experienced by, where researcher is instrument of key. Data yielded haves the character of descriptive and data analysis done inductively. Result of qualitative research more emphasizing aptly is meaning than generalizing (Sugiyono 2004: 8), while which will be description is understanding of sub-district public of Jatirejo sub-province Nganjuk. The understanding theory by Hans-Georg Gadamer, understanding to event and object history of enriched by historical distance, more clear, the meaning of text in the eyes of Gadamer, be result of dialogued from meaning which we have is the existing and meaning which there is in text historically. Result of this research for example news loaded in daily of Jawa Pos edition 25 Oktober-10 November about execution of capital punishment of first Bali bomb case finally specifies Amrozi, Mukhlas and Imam Samudera as protagonist in first Bali bomb case by 12 Octobers 2002. Incident which has defeated 200 the more ends in execution of Amrozi, Mukhlas and Imam Samudera wide-awake, through accurate gunfire at part of heart by shoot shift from police in Nusakbangan Central Java. Execution executed date of 9 November 2008 the have time to experience postponement several times because of various reasons.
