Abstract

Breakfast is very important in our life. Breakfast is like steel for plant?s life, just as human need breakfast in the morning. There are various human factors, particularly carrer women, on breakfast habit in the morning : Most career women don?t have breakfast before going for work. They have meal at 10.00 a.m during break, the selection of food for breakfast is only based on favorite food and not based on beneficial food, their breakfast doesn?t contain carbohydrate such as bread which can stimulate brain?s function., their breakfast is not followed by beneficial drink such as milk, breakfast is a strange and odd thing for them who never have breakfast between 07.00 a.m and 09.30 a.m. Phenomena of career women who don?t have breakfast is regarded as a common thing. They don?t have appetite for breakfast. Actually, breakfast doesn?t have to be heavy. A slice of bread an a glass of milk are enough. (Zakira Bin Othman, 2006). The kind of research used is descritive. Population is all of career women eorking in the women empowerment and child protection departement of malang regency office. The number of sample is 16 respondents. Sampling technique used is total sampling. The result is gotten to know good and not good perception of career women on the importance of breakfast for health. From the result of the research it can be concluded that most respondents (81%) have good perception on the definition of breakfast. Less of them (19%) have not good perception on the definition of breakfast. It s also known from the table above that most respondents (80%) have good perception on the benefit of breakfast for health. Less respondents (20%) have not good perception on the benefit of breakfast for health.
