Abstract

This research was done in SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Kepanjen which aims to know the description of transformational leadership style of teachers who have in SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Kepanjen whether the effect on teacher performance,, the factors that cause the subject of leadership, how to develop the leadership style of the subject. The method applied in this research is survey and the characteristics of the subjects are teachers who have in SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Kepanjen. Based on the results of research conducted by interview and questionnaire methods, the leadership of teachers on students in SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Kepanjen effect on the performance of teachers and learners are, where transformational leadership is leadership that can bring change within each individual involved or the entire organization to achieve higher performance. On the basis of this view, then the effective leadership in schools can be a performance, teacher performance is the appearance of activity assessed by the duty teacher and professional responsibilities at a certain time. The teacher is a professional profession in which he claimed to do all it can run the profession as possible. The factors that cause the subject of leadership as it is the desire of the subject as a leader to set an example to students for Facebook to imitate what has been the subject did, this will indirectly improve the performance of the subject. As a professional, the duties of teachers as educators, teachers and coaches should be able to impact their students. In this case the teacher should continue to improve its performance which is the capital for the success pendidikan.sebagai form of leadership that emphasizes academic achievement and school nonakademik. Thus, an effective educational leader always concentrate to drive the potential factors for the achievement goals for the school. We demonstrate an alternative framework of implementation of transformational leadership in schools that can improve the performance of teachers to students as a whole that should be owned learners as a result of a process of education and learning activities in class.
