Abstract

This research is done on Bank Jatim Cabang Malang with the title" Credit Control Strategy Implementation at PT. Bank Branch Malang East Java ". The purpose of this study was to determine the development of credit quality from 2010 to 2012, to determine the credit control mechanisms, to determine the constraints faced in the implementation of credit control, to know that at the completion of the travel of the constraints in the implementation of credit control. Techniques of data collection is done by way of interviews, observations, and documentation of the type of quantitative and qualitative data and primary and secondary data sources. Data analysis technique used is Descriptive Qualitative and SWOT Analysis. Based on the results of this research can be in the know that the percentage of non-performing loans of PT. Bank Branch Malang East Java from 2010 to 2012 continued to decline, from 4.40% to 1.01% to 0.91%. Implementation of credit control in general include, determining the right target market credit, loan application must be in accordance with the procedures that have been set, the implementation of the supervision and guidance of the debitor. Constraints in face in the implementation of credit control is an employee of the less scrupulous in checking the completeness of the requirements for credit, less scrupulous provide a copy of the validity of the debitorÂ’s securities, less thoroughly assess the validity of the items that will be made bail. Efforts will be under taken to resolve these constraints is that the credit department employees more thoroughly and repeatedly checks. The advice I give is credit administration of ficer must always improve accuracy in checking the completeness of terms, the validity of the collateral. Internal controls need to monitor their employees, in order to determine the performance of the employees that have been done if it is in accordance with his duties.
