Abstract

Politic education could be done through print and electronic media. But printed media hereincluded has larger role since through printed media, political issues could be discussed specifically. Some of the media discussed regional politic development, including Regional Election. Here, the writer interesting to discuss the writing in “PILKADA” tabloid first edition, by using contain analysis approach. The writer used quantitative descriptive research type with contain analysis approach. The writer’s research scope was all writing in PILKADA Tabloid news writing. Analysis unit was news in PILKADA Tabloid, while measurement unit was frequency of politic message theme in PILKADA tabloid. From the research, there found that news source owed two Sub­category, neutral and not­neutral. Neutral sub­category have one news (7%) included into category. Not­Neutral Sub­Category owed 5 News (32%) included. Message contain category, consisted of campaign material which had 2 news (13%) included into this category. While for Regional Election Process sub categorization, there was one news (7%) included. Motivation Sub­Category had one news (7%) included. News style Category, consisted of opinion, interview, sub­category, covering, and testimony. Opinion sub­category showed up once (7%) from all news, while interview sub­ category twice (13%) from all news. Covering Sub­Category existed once (7%) from all news. Testimony Sub­Category had one news (7%) included. From here found that the dominant tendency of the news was from news source Category, especialy in not­neutral sub­category, which consisted of 5 news or 32%. It showed that one­ third news in Pilkada Tabloid has tendency written from not­neutral source. It said not­neutral since the interview was done to the respondent who has direct needs with regional election, that was the candidate himself.
