The purpose of this study was to measure the financial performance based on the government budget realization report. The data used in this research were secondary data, budget reports for the period 2004-2008. The analysis tools were the financial ratios including the ratio of regional financial independence, effectiveness and efficiency of local revenue, debt service coverage ratio, and growth ratios. Based on the analysis results, it might be concluded that the financial performance of the government in general for the period 2004-2008 were included in both categories. Especially on the effectiveness and efficiency ratios of local revenue, debt service coverage ratio, and growth ratios.
