Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of government spending in the education, health, and infrastructure development sectors on economic growth in the eastern part of Indonesia. The eastern Indonesian region is currently still lagging behind in various aspects such as the 3 sectors made in the research variables. With this, researchers will test whether government spending aimed at these 3 aspects greatly influences economic growth in the eastern part of
Indonesia.
The type of research used in this research is quantitative research and the data used is secondary data. secondary data is data collected indirectly from the source. The data collected is secondary data and uses data collection techniques, namely in the form of observation and documentation. The data used was obtained from the National Statistics Agency (BPS) and the Ministry of Finance of
the Republic of Indonesia (Kemenkeu).
Based on the results of the study, government expenditure in the education sector has a positive and significant influence on economic growth in eastern Indonesia with a prob t-count of 0.0013 <0.5. Government spending in the health sector has a negative and significant effect on economic growth because the prob t-count value is 0.000 <0.5, and government spending in the Infrastructure Development sector has a positive and significant effect because the prob-t-count value is 0.0097 <0. 5
