informations could get through anykind of mass media. Television are the most common of media massa that people use to get an information. Is also happen with people in Batu city especially society of Dusun Gerdu. They’re inclined seaching media to fit with they information need. In the other hand one of ATV programme which called Agropolitan News in the most suitable for those people to fulfillment of society information need because it give a lot of news around Batu and Malang city that other channel couldn’t give. Especially about Batu city problem ATV has packed the news programme in Agropolitan News that shows everyday, twice a day Monday to Friday at 01.30 am 02.00 am and 06.30 pm 07.00 pm. For Saturday the Agropolitan News only show at 06.30 pm07.00 pm. To know is there any relations between watching Agropolitan News with fulfillment of society information need. The problem forms are 1). Is there any relation between watching Agropolitan News with fulfillment of society information need, 2). If there was than how much the relation between watching Agropolitan News with fulfillment of society infomation need. The aims of those research are 1). To know is there any relation between watching Agropolitan News with fulfillment of society information need, 2). To know exactly grade relation between watching Agropolitan News with fulfillment of society information need. These research using uses anf gratification theory mentioned that is not about how media change peoples behaviour but ho the media fulfill the personal need. Population of the research are Dusun Gerdu society which include farmers, workers, enterpreneur, and also teacher for about 130 people. The sample of population using Taro Yamane form an the result are 98 persons. Type of the research are quantitative and axplanative that examine the relation between two variable. To gathering data the research using quesioner and documentation. And the method using Product Moment correlation form. The analysis result of these research are that, watching the news programme ATV are have a huge relation for about 0,671. Than consult with produt r tabel for 2 variabel and also the truth are 95 % for about 0,202. Because of r court > r tabel thats way Ho is rejected and Hi is acceptable . the relation between X and Y are about 0,45 % and left 0,55 % variable ulfillment of society information need are explain in other research. So the conclusion are there was a relation between watching Agropolitan News and the relation between those variable so tigh.
