Keywords: Film Alangkah Lucunya (Negeri Ini), Messaging Social Criticism The film is a visual communications media, devices in the form of images conveys the idea. Ideas could include information, entertainment, persuasion, education. The film is no longer seen as mere works of art, but rather as a social practice as a medium of mass communication that operate within the society in which social values contained. Capability gives the appearance of the film in terms of both audio and visual, can provide dramatic effect for viewers who appreciate all the work of the film. The formulation of the problem in this research is to find out how much the frequency of messages of social criticism in the film Alangkah Lucunya (Negeri Ini) directed by Deddy Mizwar, either audio or visual? With the aim of the research to find out how much the emergence of social criticisms in the film and describe how many messages of social criticism in the film, both in units of audio and visual analysis. This study uses content analysis method with descriptive statistical tools. The objective of content analysis is to accurately represent the framework message. This research uses audio and visual analysis unit as an essential part of a movie, with a category structure that consists of government, crime, law, education, public morality and poverty. This study used a unit of measurement per scene, the appearance of scenes that contain elements in the specified category. Of test reliability and validity using the formula Holsty and Scott, shows that of the 6 categories, namely the validity of the compliance level above 0.75 and average validity score of 0.90. Research shows the message of social criticism in the film Alangkah Lucunya (Negeri Ini) is the scene were 62 (100%) of the overall total of the 113 movie scene scene. The results shows portion biggest category is the category of Education, with the number of scene as many as 18 or 29%. The existence of a large portion for the Education category in this film, due to the many criticisms made in the delivery of ideas and information more effectively done in dialogue between characters. Of 62 scenes contained in the predetermined categories, each consisting of 36 scenes found in the units of visual analysis and 26 scene contained in an audio analysis unit. This suggests that more effective use of visual units in send message of social criticism in the film, due to the delivery of messages through non verbal language can produce rapid feedback from the parties involved in social criticism. The conclusion of the study showed that delivery of the message in the film, must consider the elements of audio and visual language, commonly used in packaging the message in the film.Because the audiovisual language is the basic thing that is important to understand in communicating the message in the film. As one form of communication, a decent movie is a movie that includes a message of criticism or social value in it in terms of audio or visual. It is expected that eventually the audio and visual language in film is also able to provide a varied view, so that the message delivered to the audience to be conveyed and appreciated properly.
