The research based on ability to appreciate fairy tail for students grade VII.C SMP Muhammadiyah 06 Dau Malang Junior High School which was under the completeness grade standard. Fairy tail appreciation was lack of attention. It caused by lack of interesting media in fairy tail appreciation. That’s why there needed media usage which could stimulate students’ curiousity. Media which could answer above needs was macromedia flash. The problem statement was how the increasing ability to appreciate fairy tale through Macromedia Flash application in students of grade VII.C SMP Muhammadiyah 06 Malang Junior High School in planning, applying, and evaluation phases. The research aimed to increase students’ of grade VII.C SMP Muhammadiyah 06 Dau Junior High School ability in appreciating fairy tale through macromedia flash application. The research was done by qualitative and quantitative approach. Design used was classaction using macromedia flash. The research was done in VII.C SMP Muhammadiyah 06 Dau Junior High School, while the subject was students of grade VII.C SMP Muhammadiyah 06 Dau Junior High School consisted of 25 students, also the teacher of Indonesia language and literature. Research data consisted of action in fairy tale appreciation with students’ study result. The data collected by observation, interview, field note, document, and test. The researcher act as observer and instrument, beside, using supported instrument consisted of digital camera, determination column, and students’ activity determination guide along the learning process existed and test. Data collected analyzed using qualitative and quantitative model. Data analysis technique used was reducting, presenting, and concluding. Research showed that learning by using macromedia flash gave curious to students in understanding fairy tale appreciation. Student’s respond along the learning consisted of apperception, modeling, inquiry, asking-answering session, and reflection were active. Students’ study completeness also increased. It could be showed from student’s percentage before the action which was 56.2%, cycle I was 81.8% and cycle II was 88.6%. So that macromedia flash application could increase ability to appreciate fairy tale for students of grade VIIC SMP Negeri 06 Dau Malang Junior High School, year 2009/2010.
