Abstract

Recognizing face shape for information system of someone?s characteristic could be developed by image processing, that's by using edge detection and fuzzy logic as its method. The method was chosen since fuzzy could adapt the uncertainty itself. Fuzzy logic used to found similarity from each face shape. Physiognomy application is an application used to decide someone's attitude or character according to face form. In this research, there would be made a system which would be used to find out someone?s characters according to face shape using mobile technology as its recognition tool. The research used nine sample data, where all face had three sample data as its comparison. Face form which would be detected only round, oval, and long. Picture detected only picture with frontal faced and had no skin color elements around it. This application was able to give someone?s character information through face shape. This application was made so that we could find what potential inside us. Higher the pixel resolution used, the digital image process would be longer. This physiognomy application could be implemented in certain cellular phone like Nokia C3, Nokia E63 and Sony Ericsson W910i.
