Abstract

The development of artificial intelligence on the actions and reactions of autonomous agents or Non-Player Character aims to make the game more interesting to play.Application of artificial intelligence in the game can be modeling the behavior of the NPC so that the NPC has the aggression, to survive and escape. Behavioral model is designed with Finite-State Machine method to design each behavior. Furthermore, fuzzy logic is used to determine the NPC response to changes in condition after getting input from the conditions faced. NPC behavior may change based on changes in ammunition variables and distance of enemy which are all included in the fuzzy system. Model behaviors are implemented in First Person Shooter games using Torque Game Engine. The test results showed that the NPC can respond better to changing conditions encountered. Thus, the NPC has the ability to fight a more adequate.
