Abstract

The good performance appraisal is a hope for every company to ward it is employees. Performance appraisal is influence by two factor. Working environment and individual factor, while attitude is one of individual factors that influences the performance appraisal of an employee. Attitude is influences by personal value. Personal value is formed from cultural and society value that are thaught cross generation. Value individual by two, instrumental value: is modus or a value to achieved that goal and terminal value: is a condition or final goal that will be achieved by some one. This research simply describes the performance appraisal of employee based on personal value that are attached to the employee him self. This research is a descriptive non experimental research in quantitative approach. The data collection technique for performance appraisal is by documenting the result of performance appraisal that has been done by the company and for personal value uses questionnaire. The choosing of respondent the are 31 people that are in five divisions in which 17 employees are good performance and 14 employees medium performance. In the data processing the researcher used modus statistical technique. The result of research finding: the diverence of the instrumental value level is the cause of of the diference the work achievement between to employee’s. Employee with good performance tend to be more individualistic and oriented to themselves; asertives goal, achievement, performance, tend to be firm, love to complete, work is considered as a mean of gatering much material and ambitious and they consider themselves as personal. However on the medium performance employee they tend to be more collectivistic and oriented to the group; work is considered as a mean to be able to make others in a welfare, individual in the organization is more focus on the personal relationship based on trust, more flexible to the role, interpersonal relationship, harmony and group performance are important and they consider themselves as a part of the group.
