Abstract

The purpose of this study was to Applying contextual learning with Make A Match methods, activities and student learning outcomes using contextual learning with Make A Match methods. This research was conducted at SMPN 11 Malang. This study used a qualitative approach with descriptive research. Data in the form of observational studies teacher activity, student activities and student evaluation of test results. Data sourced from VIII E class. VIII E grade students are 40 students. Data analysis was done by using descriptive qualitative. The results showed that the activity of teachers in contextual learning with Make A Match methods in mathematics subjects reached 84.4%. The figures included in the excellent category and successfully. Student activity during contextual learning with Make A Match methods in mathematics very well done. This can be seen by the analysis of student activity table, that the results of the average percentage of observations during the learning process that is equal to 79.7% with a very good category. Then for student learning outcomes, followed by 38 students from 40 students, carrying 34 students and 4 students pass the study was not thoroughly studied. Achieve mastery percentage of 89.5% and above the completeness criteria of more than 75%. For other researchers who want to apply contextual learning through the make a match of this method should pay attention to the selection of sites to be more interesting learning students interest in learning and following the release of students to express themselves
