Abstract

Electrical energy demand is constantly increasing. The use of electrical energy is now not only the industry, but many among households using equipment that uses electrical energy. Own electrical energy can be generated from the multiple use of natural resources, whether water, steam, geothermal, nuclear, diesel and many more. As for the electrical energy which is easily available around us is electricity sourced from water. Indonesia is a country that has a potential water source is very large and easy to obtain compared with other existing oil. Starting from that to conserve the use of energy sources of oil, it is very beneficial if we take advantage of the potential energy of water into electrical energy using water as an aircraft turbine energy conversion that converts the potential energy of water into electrical energy. The purpose of this design is to obtain a prototype pico pelton turbine. From the re-calculation and design dimensions obtained pelton turbine pico scale is Power = 1.6 kW, Capacity = 0015 m3 / s, Head = 15 m, efficiency = 0.70% = 102.2 mm diameter pipe, bowl width = 60 mm, flow velocity in the pipe = 1875 m / s, the jet diameter = 24 mm, optimal peripheral velocity = 7.72 m / s, Runner Diameter = 220 mm, shaft diameter = 22 mm.
