Abstract

Patchouli oil as an export commodity has a worldwide market opportunity is quite large even in the face of competition and a sharp price fluctuations. This requires the execution of a strategy to increase productivity and agro-industry evesiensi patchouli oil. Patchouli oil refineries in Indonesia conducted by the home industry (home scale) and medium scale / large. Patchouli oil refining process is still done on a small scale in a simple manner with the use of tools with which berisifat corrosive materials, but some also have some use stainless steel / monel. There are some basic ingredients that can be used to make patchouli oil distillation equipment such as iron, and stainless steel alumunim. Stainless steel is an excellent material for the manufacture of patchouli oil distillation is because they are stronger, resistant to heat and not prone to corrosion. In the distillation of patchouli oil refinery boiler uses steam and water systems, boiler wall material using A516 grade 70 steel. With the volume of water = 87 000 cm3 chamber, the material space = 118,110.23 cm 3, height = 1047 mm boilers, boiler = 500mm diameter boiler and its capacity 150 kg.
