Abstract

Hydropower potential is spread almost all over Indonesia and is expected to reach 75,000 MW, while the utilization is only about 3% of the potential. Water turbines as a means of converting potential energy of water into energy torque / rotary drive that can be used as generators, pumps and other equipment. For areas / sites that have a source of water energy is extremely beneficial when utilizing turbine technology. The purpose of this turbine design to get the dimensions of the design of water turbines and water turbines get micro hydro power plants design drawings. Step - a step that realization is the following: Data is collected on the micro hydro power plants Sengkaling I, calculate the power turbine, determine the rotation in the turbine, determining the value of specific speed turbines, is planning crossflow turbine runner, shaft, pins, bearings, and v-belt pulley, the latter construction design drawings.
