Abstract

Wind turbines is a means of converting kinetic wind energy into mechanical energy to turn electric generators. Wind turbines are one of the electrical energy generation alternatives that are renewable, ie an infinite supply. By using the principle of energy conversion, wind turbines can produce electrical energy that is cheap and environmentally friendly. One cause of high cost of wind power plants is due to the high price of components such as towers. The types of wind turbine tower that is now mostly a permanent type, it is because the power generated by wind turbines is relatively large, in addition to an existing tower on the market in the assembly still takes a long time. That way, we tried to design and make the tower as an alternative selection of knock down towers for wind turbines as street lamps. Knock-down allows provides many advantages to the user, one of which facilitate the care and use of which facilitate the assembly apart pairs to be more practical so it does not take a long time. The purpose of designing and manufacturing tower knock down energy conversion systems for wind and solar hybrid street lamps are: Getting a knock down tower engineering drawings. Getting a prototype tower knock down energy conversion systems for wind and solar hybrid street lighting lamps. From the design of knock down towers hybrid energy conversion system (SKEH) and the solar wind is derived design knock down tower engineering drawings and prototypes also knock down towers with high specification tower 5.8 m tower is divided into 2 sections with a length of 3 m and 2, 8 m. Equipped with mounting solar cells that have the dimension 660 x 610 x 30 (mm), and the lights along the buffer 2.5 M.
