Abstract

CV Indah Cemerlang as one company that is engaged in the building materials industry produces paving products to the nature of continuous production. In the process of handling production companies often make changes to the composition of the raw materials that are affected by the cost of raw materials so that the quality of the product quality has decreased. Therefore there should be a study to identify the factors that affect the response of the control defects with Response Surface method. In the study Response Surface method consists of two stages the first order of 1 (screening), is expected to find the cause and exact solutions so as to increase the quality of the product quality. In phase 1 of the order known to affect the composition of raw materials on the response defects ash cement and stone. Under these conditions, at this stage of the order 2 (optimization) conducted an experiment to determine what settings are best raw material composition to reduce the number of defective products, and minimizing the cost of raw materials. Of order 2 obtained the best settings is 20 liters of water, 47 kg of cement, sand 0,312 m3, 0,407 m3 of stone dust. From the data processing obtained an average percentage of defects after repair by 5.08 percent or a decline of 0.42 per cent and the cost of raw materials repair Rp 4188.08 by pallet with a reduced fee of Rp. 49.33 by pallet. While the cost of loss of quality improvement obtained results of Rp. 567 148 by week with a reduced fee of Rp. 56 715 by week.
