Abstract

Mathematics learning needs to be designed well before, in order to make mathematics learning interesting and impressive for the students in the learning posses. In Mathematics learning, communication is very important because can help the posses of preparing the ideas, connecting and idea with another it can complete the lackness of the whole students ideas. In improving the skills Mathematics communications, if needs to be applied the learning method that emphasizes to the students activeness. This research is a classroom action research which conducted in one class of SMP PGRI 03 Karangploso, especially school year 2011/2012. This study used a qualitative approach, this research describe the analysis of the symptoms that occur during the process of learning mathematics. Data were collected by observation, documentation, test and questionnaire. The results of analysis that was conducted in two cycles were obtained 18 students from 22 students have completed the KKM (standard minimum score), with an average 70,9. The aspect of writing communication to envelop to change question symbol shape, to shape model, give to conclude increased to be 4,27%. And for the students response after followed the learning (Jigsaw) was increasing. This to point at the mathematics understanding and communication of the students experienced a positive trend.
