PT. Total Galaxy is a company that specializes in the cement’s distribution to the Malang’s area. The problem faced by the company is there is no a distribution activity planning in the system that use by distribution companies, resulting in a lack of information on the number of reservations and when the product should be shipped to the customer. This is bound to affect the process of ordering the company to the level above it, and the company can not avoid the accumulation of goods in a warehouse or even a shortage of stock in the warehouse. The purpose of this study is to propose improvements of planning orders for products using the Distribution Requirements Planning (DRP). DRP is a method for handling the procurement of inventory in a multi-echelon distribution network. The purpose of the Distribution Requirement Planning (DRP), which is the planning and distribution activities well, so success in meeting customer demand will be more optimized, improved sales performance in fulfilling orders in a timely and appropriate amount so that distribution costs can be kept at a minimum. Steps in the calculation of DRP, must first know the historical data of customer orders (shop) as the lowest level in the distribution network. From these data will be made forecasting process for some future period, followed by counting the number of safety stock at each store as an extra stock to cope if there is a surge in orders. DRP calculations performed on a system that runs on the company's current and proposed system improvements, where the difference between the two lies in lot sizing techniques used in making reservations at every level of the distribution network. From the data processing has been done, the methods in use today, the company to pay for an order of Rp 29.500.000, while using the method proposed repair fees incurred over 11% saving in the amount of Rp 26.250.000. It can be concluded that the DRP method suitable to be applied to the company in planning reservations.
