Abstract

Learning problem based learning (PBL) is a matter that requires mental activity of students to understand the concept of learning through situation and problem that have been presented at the beginning of learning (Ratnaningsih, 2003), learning problem based learning (PBL) is a matter of learning to use the real world as a context for students to search information and knowledge in solving problem either on a group or individual. This study has destination to (1) To know teacher’s activities and students in learning mathematical by means of problem based learning (PBL) on student junior high school Muhammadiyah 2 Batu. (2) To know creativity of student in learning mathematics by mean of problem based learning on student junior high school Muhammadiyah 2 Batu. (3) to know mastery learning student in learning mathematics through the application of the problem based learning (PBL) on junior high school Muhammadiyah 2 Batu. This approach is qualitative approach, with kind of research is descriptive. The research was conducted at junior high school muhammadiyah 2 Batu, on 29 s/d may 31, 2012. Based on these results it can be concluded (1) Activities of teachers in the application of the learning model problem based learning (PBL) in the first meeting reaches 15.27% in the second meeting reaches 21.52%, while, the activities of students in learning problem based learning (PBL) in the first meeting reached 28.78%, and the second meeting reached 33.33%. (2) creativity of student in solving problem the material flat wake (quadrangle) through the implementation model of problem based learning (PBL) based on the three components of creativity, (a) fluency (b) flexibility (c) detail in this study variations problem solving increased from the first to the second meeting, in which the percentage of the first meeting 65.7%, the second meeting 85.1% (3) mastery learning student in the study are increase from the first meeting until the second meeting, the first meeting with percentage 13.04% and the second meeting 82.60%.
