Abstract

Student of SLB-C represent student who has certain difficulty once do the process of learning of mathematic at item of number. To introduce numbers, symbols, and concept of GM number needs a learning component which can explain related of the mentioned. One of it is learning media. Learning media can give a concreting on abstraction that occurred at item of number. However, student of SLB-C fast has experienced a boring also easy to losing its concentration. Until at moment of learning process takes place GM may be do the usage of the visual learning media non-projected by creative also innovative as competence of GM. This research has point out to describe the usage of non-projected visual learning media through observation toward GM activity when teaching the item of number. Furthermore, the approaches are used in this research that is qualitative approaches, while kind of this research that is descriptive. The performing of research, done at august 27 to September 27, 2012 it is only done at class X SMALB-C Foundation of Alpa Kumara Wardhana II Surabaya. Based on the analysis result the activity of GM in doing the usage of non-projected visual learning media at item of number during this five times meeting, process of the performing can classified with well enough, that is with to see the largely percentage that happen at whole meeting achieved 71%. It can caused by the existing of factors that could influenced the process of usage of non projected visual learning media, that are (1) ready or unready GM to doing the usage non-projected visual learning media is used; and (2) limited or unlimited learning media is used by GM. Till the existing that factors, GM not yet doing creative also innovative which can facilitating the student SLB-C in learning the item of number (using a calculation at problem solving). But GM may be do the change better in its learning process, if GM can prepare better again toward learning media that will be used, and GM suggested to increase his knowledge related to the usage of non-projected visual learning media for students of SLB-C.
