Abstract

Learning is basically a process of communication between teachers and students. Teachers as implementers of education should have the necessary basic skills as educators and teachers, among other basic skills are strategies and methods of learning. As a teacher requires a conductive media as a necessary tool, one that is using instructional media. Just as, in the use of instructional media magic disk as a media interactive learning, flexible, inexpensive and very effective in learning can provide motivation for students to learn and new inspiration. With the magic disk is expected that students can follow the learning process and can do exercises on the prism and pyramid material. Data analysis techniques used in this study is a qualitative data analysis techniques. So the data from researchers and students who have obtained will be analyzed using qualitative descriptive quantitative research methods. Data taken in this research is the result of a written test given to the subject of research investigators and the results of interviews conducted between researchers with research subjects. The study was conducted on 24 April 2012 to April 30, 2012 in Junior Hight School RSBI 1 Batu. Some conclusions are presented based on findings that have been obtained in this study were prior to the research activities carried out, researchers conducted preliminary observations to the school since March 2012 to investigate the characteristics of students. And to find out what material has been given. Many students who have difficulty in determining the field diagonal, space diagonal and diagonal fields. They are also difficulties in finding a broader blanket on the pyramid. There are some students who are easy to understand the lesson, but not least also the difficulty in grasping the material on the introduction of elements of the prism and pyramid. Conditions of students who easily forget their cause confusion in determining the elements prism and pyramid.
