Proportional-Integral-Derivative (PID) control method is widely applied in industry. This controller has three controller parameters, Kp, Ti, and Td. These three parameters derived from mathematical calculations on the conventional PID methods. Difficulties arise when the plant is controlled by a system of higher order. Therefore, the necessary PID tuning method that can be applied to higher order systems. Ziegler-Nichols oscillation method is a PID tuning method that can be performed automatically without modeling system. This method has two stages at the beginning of the application, the tuning phase to determine the parameters of control and phase control by applying the Parameters. Both stages are implemented in a module using the Arduino Mega 2560. PID controller will be programmed into the Arduino Mega 2560 to control the speed of rotation of dc motor by using the Ziegler-Nichols tuning method. The results of the controller outputs are setpoint value, encoder value and the output value of the controller to dc motor drivers and then displayed in graphical form in real time.
