Abstract

A tuna - blind still crashing or even getting hit by objects that are nearby. So in this paper will be designed an electronic wand that can detect objects in the vicinity. Within a certain distance of the stick will give a warning sound or other output based on the censorship of ultrasonic sensors so hopefully this is quite a practical tool in helping blind people to recognize objects nearby. I'll be able to function properly, an electronic wand visually impaired should use a proximity sensor ( ultrasonic ) and vibrators. The sensors emit ultrasonic waves which then will be accepted again by transducer to detect certain objects, within a certain range as well, with SRF02 ultrasonic sensors capable of detecting the presence of objects between 15-600 cm. Data received by the SRF02 - once calibrated itself by the device - will be sent to the microcontroller, then processed and used as needed. Based on these data, MCU responds to two main outputs - which would then be directly perceived or received by the user.
