Abstract

Each student when given a problem own the idea which different each other. But a lot of student feel unconvinced about the answers given so lazy to express his opinion. When student discus with their group after idea poured, then each student will have the role of opinion in the discussion. Through these interactions the students will exchange ideas, especially when studying a subject matter of math circle. One method of learning that involve students to devote their opinions, interact and to train students to understand the material through group discussion is a method of brainstorming techniques. This brainstorming discussion method with the technique reinforced by the Student Worksheet (BLM). This study aims to determine the activity of students and student learning outcomes obtained after execution of learning. The approach used in this research is a qualitative and quantitative, where as the type of research is descriptive. The experiment was conducted on December 20 to 27 March 2012 with a class of research subjects VIII-A junior high school N 08 Malang. The results showed that: (1) The results of the analysis in the implementation of the learning activities of students during the two meetings can be accomplished with the criteria very well. (2) results in the classical learning has reached the standards set by the thoroughness classical junior high school 08 Malang in learning mathematics.
