Abstract

To meet demand for communication services, especially data that is fast, reliable and economical it would require an appropriate technology. PLC is a technology that utilizes the flow of electricity in the form of sinusoidal waves as a medium of communication of data signals from the power grid is already purpose to be achieved from the Planning and Prototyping Process Data transmission through a network PLC (Power Line Communication) is to plan and create a prototype sending data from one computer to another over a network PLC (Power Line Communication) by using a controller chipset PowerLine and hopefully will be applied to the actual electrical wiring. Based on the results of tests performed didapkan PowerLine Communication conclusion that the prototype is built using chipset PowerLine Ethernet port and a media interface into the computer, in order to get stability in the data transmission process in addition to these tools utilize frequency voltage that is not used then superimposed to the power frequency identified as noise, but it is very useful in the process of sending data to the PowerLine transmission media while the transmit distance data transmission with the PowerLine Communication is 300 meters in a transformer parent network, PowerLine device can not work in transit through the main transformer and speed resulting in the transfer of data with the PowerLine is very nice and fast, so it can be applied properly on the computer network. From the results of planning and building prototypes can be suggested that this prototype can be used as a transmission system between locations without the use of additional media again is by utilizing the existing electricity grid making it more efficient and practical than that expected to be developed better by improving the distance can be further and get past the transformer between the parent and for researchers to discuss the PowerLine further it to be more toward applied, namely the application of the current global network.
