Abstract

Along with advances in electronics technology are CMPS10 electronic compass, compass sensor CMPS10 or magnetic compass is a compass sensor to determine the position angle. These sensors are commonly used in the field of robotics with the goal of being used as a navigator for the movement of the robot, by it because I am trying to apply this compass sensor into the boat so boat can be controlled automatically if the ship veered from vertex specified, so that the ship can return to the initially corner point. On the ship there is a keypad button, which serves to set the direction the ship, when an error occurs in the direction of the ship a few degrees either to the right or to the left of the duty to return the ship back to the intended direction. On board there is an electronic compass sensor (CMPS10), as detection of the direction instability direction of the ship which is then processed by the microcontroller and the servo motor output is controlled by PID method, which serves as the primary navigation boat. Generally the system diagram tool on ship design PID controller is composed of input, and output microcontroller. In this design there is some form of input keypad 3X4, 16X2 character LCD and an electronic compass sensor type CMPS10. The output is in the form of servo motors and DC motors. Designing software design using PID controller using output from Atmel ATMega16. From the experiments conducted can be seen that irrespective of the value of the error that occurred on the ship when the ship runs or at the beginning of the ship setting that is incompatible with the actual value of the set point, the ship will run straight into a predetermined set point.
