Abstract

Learning is a process of interaction between teachers and students. Teachers as educators must be creative in choosing a learning approach. Use of appropriate learning by a teacher is expected to instill the concept of material well to students and in accordance with an accomplished competition. How can the students do not forget the subject matter that has been received that the students will be ready to face exam grade increases that are ready or not ready they must deal. How to make a teaching material in order not to be forgotten by students. In this case the teacher must find a method to remind all the memory in the minds of students that they have received. Teachers should be able to revive that memory. This study aims at exhaustiveness Knowing learning class X Multimedia SMK Purnama by applying a contextual model of problem-based learning and knowing the activity of teachers in the application of problem-based learning model in the class X Multimedia And Knowing the students' activity on the application of problem-based learning model in the class X Multimedia This research has the benefit for the School, to provide an innovation in education, especially in a learning approach to improve mathematics learning potential, and as policy makers in an effort to improve student achievement, especially on the subjects of Mathematics. And for teachers, as a material consideration in determining the learning method that can provide benefits for students. This study used action research (action research) as much as three rounds. Each round consists of four phases: design, activity and observation, reflection, and revision. Objectives of this study is class X-SMK Multimedia Purnama Gempol.Data obtained in the form of test results replicates, observation sheet teaching and learning activities and student questionnaire data. From the analysis found that student achievement has increased from cycle I to III of the cycle, cycle I (68.75%), cycle II (78.125%), and the cycle III (87.5%) in class X-Multimedia and from questionnaire data concluded that almost all students are motivated in their learning. The conclusion of this research is a method of problem-based learning can be a positive influence on students' motivation and learning methods can be used as an alternative learning Mathematics.
