Abstract

Inventories stone dust as filler and bitumen as a binder so limited that attempted use of an alternative filler. Industrial wastes are mostly untapped, is one possible alternative to be used as a mixture of primarily asphalt filler filler. This study aims to investigate the performance of hot mix asphalt (HOT MIX) LATASIR type B (HRSS - B) which uses sugar cane ash as filler using a variation of the collision. Specimens are made comprised of three major groups, namely: the test object using stone dust and asphalt penetration 80/100 (AB), the test object using bagasse ash and bitumen of penetration 80/100 (AT) with a variation of 5.0% filler, 10.0%, 15.0%, 20.0%, 25.0% and ash specimens using bagasse and bitumen of penetration 80/100 (aT) with the variation of the collision 40, 50, 60, 70, 80. total specimen made amounted to 45, for each type of mixture (AB, AT) made 15 test specimens. For (AB) Levels of asphalt used is at 6.90%, 7.90%, 8.90%, 9.90% and 10.90%. Filler levels for each of the normal mixture is 8.13% and 7.40% OBC generated . For ( AT ) levels fiiler bagasse ash used was 5.0%, 10.0%, 15.0%, 20.0%, and 25.0% OBC for each - each mixture was 7.40% and generated bagasse ash filler content of 7.50% optimum. For the ( AT ) with the variation of the collision bagasse ash content fiiler used amounted to 7.50 % and OBC for each - each mixture was 7.40% and the optimum collision produced by 45 collisions . Characteristic strength of the mixture based on the value of the stability conditions of the OBC and optimum filler levels. Carrying capacity of stone dust filler (AB) in a mixture of 7.40% OBC and 8.13% stone dust filler produces 740 kg of value stability, marshall quotient value of 2.49 kN/mm, the value of the film thickness of 5.42mm, the value of water voids 7.37%, while the carrying capacity of bagasse ash (aT) in a mixture of 7.40% OBC and bagasse ash filler 7.50% yield stability value of 826.67kg, marshall quotient value of 3.43 kN/mm, the value of the film thickness 6.49mm, air voids value of 4.77%, and the carrying capacity of bagasse ash (aT) in a mixture of 7.40% OBC, filler bagasse ash 7.50% and using 45 collisions produce value stability 840.66kg, marshall quotient value of 3.49kN/mm, the value of the film thickness of 6.65mm, air voids value of 4.59%. Based on research data, using a mixture of bagasse ash as filler to be able to compete with the variation of the collision using a mixture of stone dust.
