Abstract

The purposes of this study are (1) to know the validity and learning tool practicability of developed thematic (mathematics, science, Indonesian), (2) to know the response of students toward developed thematic learning tool. Subject of this study is teachers and student and student of grade III Madrasah Ibtidaiyah 01 Pantenan, Panceng, Gresik of 21 students that consist of 12 male and 9 female. This study is conducted to measure teacher activity in teaching learning process, and to spread questionnaire for student's response to know the positive response of students toward developed thematic learning tool. Method of data collection of this study is validation method, observation, and questionnaire. The result of thematic learning tool validation in entire aspects gives average values of 4.00. The result of teacher observation shows the presentation of 92.3% by category of very effective. And the result of student's response from questionnaire is 88.5% by category of positive. It is appropriate with expected indicator, then it can be said that this study is successful. The conclusion of this study is that learning by using thematic tool (mathematics, science, Indonesian) can give easiness for teachers in implementing effective learning and getting positive response from students of grade III-A Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Muhammadiyah 01 Pantenan, Panceng, Gresik. Based on the conclusion above, it is suggested that it is better for teachers who arrange thematic learning tool to have attention on the condition of school and the condition of students. In making thematic learning tool, teachers are better to refer to current curriculum.
