Abstract

Learning model conducted by the teachers still could not respond well by students. Teachers are more dominated learning so that students are less active in learning; students still tend to be lazy. Small percentage of students who want to pay attention to learning mathematics. Many students who are only own noise when the learning process takes place. So that needs to be applied Circe type of cooperative learning model (cooperative integrated reading and composition) by involving the direct participation of students actively. This research using the model of cooperative learning Circe type (cooperative integrated reading and composition) in mathematics on the subject in class VIII circle SMP Muhammadiyah 06 Dau. The aim of the study is to examine how teacher and student activities on the implementation of cooperative learning model of Type Circe (Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition) and students' response after application of cooperative learning model Circe Type (Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition) and to investigate the effectiveness of cooperative learning model type Circe (Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition) at the ring material. Research conducted a qualitative descriptive study. The subject of this research is the teacher who taught math class VIIIB which researchers themselves and VIIIB Junior High School students in grade 06 Dau. The variables in this study were teacher and student activities, student response, and the effectiveness of applying cooperative learning model type Circe. The instrument used was the xii teacher and student observation sheet, questionnaire, and tests students' mastery learning. Analysis of the data used in this study is to analyze the percentage to measure the activity, response and student learning completeness This research has shown the percentage of student activity during the learning process using a model of cooperative learning Circe type that is 77.63% with good criteria, while the average assessment of the learning activities of teachers in the management of Circe by 94.44% which is in very good category. Students' responses to learning model cooperative Circe type with percentage of 85.63% with positive criteria. Individual learning completeness and thoroughness as many as 27 students in a classical style of 87.09% with complete criteria based on school standards. Meanwhile, according to national standards, individual learning completeness as many as 24 students with classical completeness percentage of 77.42% students with complete criteria. Based on the description above, the activity of students classified as good, activities classified as very good teacher, mastery learning, and both individually and classically expressed thorough and positive student response. Thus, cooperative learning model Circe type is applied to the subject of a circle in the class VIIIB SMP Muhammadiyah 06 dau am be said to be effective.
