Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know how to present the problem posing-STAD model in increasing the students activity and achievement in mathematics subject at SMP Wahid Hasyim Malang. In this research, the researcher uses the qualitative approaehe with the kinds of its research, it is class action research (PTK). The subject of this research is the second grade students class c with 26 students. The researcher user three instruments, they are; the sheet of student activities in group discussion, The students worksheet, and problem posing sheet. The techniques to obtain the data and information are test and questioner. The result of this research by using the problem posing-STAD model showed that there are increase in students activity in the first cycle get 72%, then in second cycle get 89,5%. Even though, in students achievement, the students who has finished with classical method based on SKMB of SMP Wahid Hasyim Malang is 46% in the first siklus. And then in second cycle, the students who has learned based on SKMB of SMP Wahid Hasyim Malang is 75%.
