Abstract

Growth adaptability Test and yield of some varieties and strains of long bean is one way to get superior varieties and strains that are able to adapt that will be utilized by farmers. This research was conducted to test the adaptability of 9 varietas and 10 strains of long bean grown in Malang. The purpose of this study was to determine the adaptability of growth and yield of some varieties and strains at a place in the village of Dusun Jetis- Mulyoagung-Dau - Malang District. This research was conducted in the village of Dusun Jetak -Mulyoagung -Dau - Malang district, located 400 meters above sea level. Including alluvial soil type. Air temperature between 23.50 to 23.80 C. The average rainfall is 66-422 mm. Wind speed from 5.8 to 8.5 km / h with a light intensity from 316.2 to 409 kal/cm2. The timing of the study began on February 3, 2012 until May 3, 2012. The research was done using simple randomized block design. Using 9 varieties and 10 strains of long bean and being repeated twice. The results of this study show 9 Varieties and 10 strains of long bean plants have highly significant differences (number of leaves, number of branches, number of pods per plant, weight of pods per plant, pod length and weight of pods per hectare). While the parameters of the number of seeds per pod is no real difference. Plants that have the highest weight of pods per plant is wulung variety. For strains that have the highest weight of pods per plant is UB 920 A variety. So wulung and UB 920 A variety need to be developed so that it is hoped will be used as qualified seed in long bean cultivation.
