Abstract

Orange is one of the many types of horticultural commodities appreciated by the public. As supplementary material in support family nutrition, taste fresh and contain a lots of vitamin C and vitamin A. because much like various groups and marketing well enough, citrus so widely known is categorized as strategic horticultural commodities cultivated and marketed. From BPS can be sourced in Indonesia known citrus production in 2011 reached 1,807,808 tons, of which the citrus fruit in export only amounted to 1,005 tons and 1,806,803 which still leaves the volume of production can not meet domestic market share. Indonesia is expected to increase the production volume with International standard quality, which products can complete in the International Trade. For the cultivation of citrus is very beneficial both for the fulfillment of the country and abroad. Referring to the exposure to the problems above, the research purpose and objectives to be achieved is to determine the financial feasibility of tangerine cultivation, to know the level of sensitivity that can affect the amount of benefit, to analyze the costs incurred foe the Tangerines agribusiness and determine marketing opportunities. Sources of data used in this study is, the Primary data and Secondary data. In the current study, focused on primary data using interviews, which interviews is directly to the respondents citrus growers, using a prepared list of questions documentation, observation and secondary data were also obtained from reference books or literature, agency reports, and government agencies that deal in commodities orange, among other, the Department of Agriculture and Horticulture. In particular, the data is also taken from the Research Institute for Citrus and Subtropical Fruits (Baltjestro) which located in Malang regency. Method of data analysis using Quantitative Descriptive analysis to determine the level of financial feasibility of business, calculated by analysis of the Net Present Value(NPV), Comparison of Revenue and Cost (Gross B/C Ratio), (Net B/C Ratio), Internal Rate of Return (IRR), Payback Period (PP), and Sensitivity Analysis. As for the marketing aspect is using qualitative descriptive analysis. Based on our understanding research tangerine cultivation in the Village District Selorejo Dau Malang City, worth the effort because the NPV Rp. 776.494.430, using the prevailing bank interest that is 12%. In addition there are gross B/C ratio > 1 size 4,603 meaning that every Rp. 1.00 will generate gross cost Rp. 4,603 gross benefit. As for net B/C ratio > is 9.126 it means every investment 1% will earn a net profit of 9.996 times and for IRR of 87.6%, meaning that the ability to refund all costs 87.6% per year.
