Abstract

Agriculture cannot be separated from the development of a country to develop its economy. It is because one of indicators the country has economy autonomy is the sufficient of food for its residents so that there is only a little possibility for the other country to “squeeze” it. The increment on the need of food also becomes the climate phenomenon that occurs recently, and then there should be an effort to find the appropriate planting pattern to solve the problem. One of the ways is minapadi agriculture effort. This technique uses the area simultaneously to result rice as the carbohydrate sources and fish as protein sources. The success of minapadi cannot be separated from climate factor. Considering the climate anomaly occurs nowadays, there should be any effort to conduct minapadi planting pattern in order to make this agriculture effort succceed. This study is aimed to: 1. Know the potency of minapadi in Malang district, 2. Know how is the minapadi planting pattern nowadays, 3. Know the structure of fund and efficiency of minapadi agriculture effort. Regional determination is conducted in purpose/intention; it is in Wajak, Malang. Respondents in this study are collected by census method toward the farmers that have minapadi; they are 12 people. Data used for this study is primary and secondary data. Data analysis method uses qualitative descriptive analysis. The result of study shows that Blayu village is a region that has potency to be the center of minapadi; it is because the availability of water sources, Cilung and Ndewo rivers. Climate anomaly occurs in Wajak in 2010 is characterized by the increment of temperature in 1oC and the increment of humidity of 1 – 3 %. The average of rain rate increment in the period of 2006–2010 is 2.597,4 mm/year. The minapadi planting pattern can be conducted by the requirement of rain rate is 200 mm/month that is distributed during 4 months. The implementation of minapadi can be conducted in January, February, November and December. The structure of minapadi farming fund per hectare area by the farmers includes the total average of production costs of Rp. 26.096.828,87; the average of acceptance is Rp. 38.059.131,38; the average of income is Rp. 11.962.302,51. The value of ratio R/C minapadi is 1,46 that it means minapadi is efficient to be developed.
