Abstract

Fruit is one of holticulture plant contained vitamin sources (A, C, B, B1, B2, E, seng, calsium, etc) which cannot be produced by human body, that?s why it?s so important to grow and keep human body healthy, it?s also able to prevent dangerous disease (cancer, stock, HIV, etc) in daily life. Development of fruit product in Indonesia reached rapid increasing, especially in 2001 to 2010, average reached 1.516.539 ton per year (mango), compared than 1995 to 2000 Indonesia fruit product in average reached 843.752 ton pet year (mango), it makes Indonesia possible to export fruits to international market to get profit In this near time, various print and electronic media of Indonesia reported that fruit and vegetables import are so high on the latest two months. According to carantine institution of Farm Ministry, fruit and vegetable volume increased rapidly. Along 2010, fruit import from China reached 418 thousand tons, this year it seemed from January-April period which import had reached 229 thousand tons as seemed in figure 1 under the development of China fruit import volume started from 2010-2011 (January-April). Research purpose are: (1) Finding out the growth of harvesting unit, production, productivity of fruits in Indonesia; (2) Finding out volume development trend and export value according to destination country; (4) finding out system and standardization applied by government in monitoring export and import of fruits in Indonesia. Research location statement is done in purposive, which is in Indonesia. This location selection is done by various consideration, such as: (1) Indonesia is one of the center of fruit production whether tropical or subtropical; (2) Indonesia is an exporter and importer of fruit; (3) Indonesia is fruit producer which is able to compete in International market. Data collection method in this research is similar with internet data collection and related institution (secondary data). Data analysis method used in this research is qualitative descriptive method. Harvest unit growth of fruits in Indonesia is developing annually, which has positive effect to fruit production in Indonesia, fruit productivity in Indonesia since 2002 to 2010, in average 76,69% with growth 7,32% for mangosteen productivity , -2,06% mango productivity, 0,84% banana p roductivity, 8,64% orange productivity, and pineapple 15,06%. Volume development trend and fruits export - import value (mangosteen, mango, banana, orange, and pineapple) in Indonesia is fluctuative, from some countries (China, Hong Kong, Singapore,Arabic, Quwait, Emirate, Netherland, France, and German) the highest export trend is Hong Kong for 280.103 Kg with export value 9.887,4 US$ per year. Highest Trend and import is China with 1.060.606 Kg with import value 97.785 US$ per year.
