Abstract

In an increasingly modern life requires people to live very practical, so in daily life people often apply the pattern of unhealthy eating, it is seen from the public often consume fast food or fast food. Changes in family functioning that occurs is a function of economic decline, where the family is no longer a unit that is able to meet their own needs in the past, even the family is a unity of economic consumption united by friendship, affection and recreation. According to the Sarlito Hawawi, the changes of family life or society in big cities as the impact of modernization, one of which is the pattern of simple and productive life tend to change toward consumerist (wasteful). Here the researchers wanted to see consumer behavior in consuming fast food (fast food). To see the level of family consumption in consuming fast food (fast food) is so, researchers define a problem that is how much the level of family consumption in consuming fast food (fast food) and what factors that contributed to the level of family consumption in fast foods food (fast food). The purpose of this study was to determine the level of family consumption in consuming fast food (fast food). Kind of research is quantitative and qualitative approaches. Population from this research that consumers who eat at the family Trend Fried Chicken, while the samples from this study of 100 respondents by using the incidental sampling technique. For qualitative, informants in this research is that the level of family consumption in the category of high, medium and lowdepth interviews with the means. Data collection techniques using questionnaires, interviews, observation and documentation. The analysis used in quantitative research using qualitative prosentasesedangkan calculations using analysis was used to model the interactive analysis suggested by Miles and Huberman. The theory is in use in this research is the rational choice of James Coleman in which individual actions lead to a goal and that goal is determined by the value or selection. In this case the individual in buying fast food meal once rationalize that will decide on a new bought to consume. In the social perspective of fast food like this makes people tend to become a consumerist society and all instant. The results of this study is that the level of family consumption in consuming fast food or fast foods are classified by the number of percentage of 52% of 100 respondents. Viewed in this percentage indicates that the community likes the fast food (fast food) such as fried chicken and instant noodle. family reasons to consume fast food (fast food) is because these foods taste good and reasonably priced although they knew little content contained in fast food (fast food). While the factors that affect the level of family consumption in consuming fast food (fast food) is because the food is quite practical and quick presentation.
