Abstract

Soundness of a bank is of interest to all parties concerned, both the owner and manager of community banks and bank service users. To know the development of health of a bank, Bank Indonesia as the banking supervisor periodically evaluates the level of bank soundness using the CAMEL approach. Criteria used in the CAMEL include five indicators, namely capital, assets, management, earnings, and liquidity, with the title of the research that is "Penilaian Tingkat Kesehatan Bank Berdasarkan Analisis CAMEL (Studi Kasuspada PT. Bank Mega,Tbk Sragen)". The purpose of this study is to describe the health level of PT. Bank Mega, Tbk Sragen. The usefulness of research to be achieved, especially for PT. Bank Mega, Tbk Sragen expected to be used as food for thought and objective input to the PT. Bank Mega, Tbk Sragen in decision-making and improve performance. The analytical tool used in this research is by using the CAMEL analysis that includes five indicators of measurement of capital, assets, management, earnings, and liquidity. Based on the results of health level of PT. Bank Mega, Tbk Sragen using CAMEL analysis showed that CAMEL credit grades for two consecutive years (2008-2009) amounted to 74.82 and 74.33, so that PT. Bank Mega, Tbk Sragen given predicate is healthy enough, because the standards set by Bank Indonesia to healthy predicate is between 81-100. Obtaining credit score is relatively stable due to the fifth aspect contained in the CAMEL factors itself. Some of the advice given to PT. Bank Mega, Tbk Sragen is expected to pay more attention to the factors in the assessment of bank soundness, especially in comparison to the Call Money Net Current Assets (NCM to CA) and Bad Debt Ratio (BDR). Because in this case the ratio obtained by the acquisition have not achieved maximum results, although an outline has shown a steady grades from year to year. The bank is also expected to manage his bank with a good, capable of mobilizing public funds and provide the best possible service to the community and maintain the trust that has been obtained from the public, so the bank will be able to maintain its existence and to develop self from non-bank foreign exchange into foreign exchange bank.
