The food crisis in Ethiopia is one of the humanitarian issues that requires attention and assistance from the international community. The World Food Programme (WFP) is a specialized organization that aims to address food crises, hunger, and emergencies in developing countries. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. Data was collected by literature study relevant to the research topic. The results show that WFP is effective in overcoming the food crisis that occurred in Ethiopia because it meets the seven aspects used in analyzing the effectiveness of international organizations and on contextual variables it has fulfilled its obligations. WFP has several main programs in overcoming the food crisis in Ethiopia, such as School Meals, Take Home Rations, Food for Training, and Food for Work. WFP also works with the Ethiopian government and other partners to improve food security and nutrition. WFP also faces several challenges and obstacles in the implementation of its programs, such as armed conflict in Tigray, drought leading to crop failure, Covid-19 pandemic, and limited access and funding.
