Abstract
Film is easy to understand and appreciate because in the film, the scriptwriter describes every character as clearly as possible. In this study, perfect love is taken as the subject of discussion. In this session the writer of this thesis is interested in analyzing Moulin Rouge’s film because this story tells about the failure in building the romantic love between Satine and Christian. Love story always happens in every person but it does not always ends in happiness. The purposes of this study are to find out Satine’s perfect love and to describe the reason why Satine gives her perfect love to Christian. This study used descriptive research, while the approach used was objective. The population for this study was the whole events in the story “Moulin Rouge” written by Baz Luhrmann and Craig Pearce, while the sample of this study was some dialogues or events that were related to Satine’s perfect love on Moulin Rouge film. The result of this study shows that Satine’s perfect love is Satine leaves her luxurious life in Moulin Rouge for Christian. The reasons that make Satine have perfect love are : Christian makes her happy and he showed that being in love was wonderful thing.
