Abstract

Development of regional languages, especially languages Tidung need to be increased in order to develop and enrich the vocabulary of the Indonesian language. Research on comparative affixation Tidung with Indonesian language, is one attempt to describe similarities and differences in the formation process of affixation Tidung words in Indonesian language. This research can be used as an input to see the similarities and differences in language Tidung affixation process with the Indonesian language. The purpose of this study was to obtain an objective description of the similarities and differences in language Tidung affixation process with affixation in the Indonesian language in the territory of Tarakan in East Kalimantan on the use by the addition of prefix, infix, suffix, and simulfiks. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative method. Sources of data in this study are native speakers or informant who has some predetermined criteria. The data in this study of word formation Tidung language that indicates a process of affixation. Based on the results of data analysis, it can be concluded: 1) affixation with the addition of prefixes: a) the prefix be-(BT) and (BI) has the equation form, b) form the prefix g-(BT) has 3 different forms, namely g-, gene-, and ge-while in affixation (BI) is not found, c) Prefixes to (BT) and (BI) had the same equation form, d) The form of the prefix in-in (BT) memiiki 3 kinds of shapes are in. -, im-, and ing-while in affixation (BI) form of the prefix is not found, e) Prefixes to-(BT) and (BI) has similar form of the prefix, f) The form of the prefix N-in (BT) memiiki 5 different form of N-, missed-, nga-, nge-, and, nye, whereas in (BI) form of the prefix is not found, 2) affixation with the addition of the infix: a) (BT) and (BI) had the same affixation with the addition of the infix-em-, b) in (BT) infix-en-did not change shape when attached to the base word berfonem initial / b, g, k, p, s, t / and infix-en-in (BI) not found, c) (BT) and (BI) had the same form of affixation with the addition of the infix-in-, 3) affixation with the addition of the suffix, suffix-an (BT) and (BI) has the equation of the form, 4) affixation simulfiks pen with the addition of both have a common shape.
