Abstract

Nurses who are at the forefront in service at the hospital, is always required to provide good service. Nurse's workload will affect the quality of services, especially in improving the performance of nurses. The performance of nurses is a basic indicator of the growing sense of satisfaction of patients and families who can then dipersepaikan about the quality of service delivered. Therefore, it is a necessary component of critical attention from the management of the Hospital. Number of activities conducted by a nurse who is a nurse's workload is also psychologically very influential on the nurse's own self. Higher workloads than can lead to disruption of the performance of nurses also can cause stress on the job, boredom or burnout, mental exhaustion, job satisfaction and decreased work effectiveness can possibly occur due to the workload. In this study researchers used a qualitative descriptive method which means that describe or depict data - data collected in the form of words - words, the observations, as well as information - information derived from interviews, observation and field notes are available. Non-statistical analysis according to the descriptive data were analyzed based on content is called content analysis. The data has been obtained as the result of observation, interviews and documents - all documents on the state nurse collected and processed and analyzed for complement each other. Based on the results of data analysis outlined that the burden of the work done by nurses who work in the room inpatient Pulmonary Tuberculosis Lung Hospital Batu quite high. The psychological impact is felt due to the high workload is the stress, tension, boredom or burnout and adapula annoyance, often angry or rising emotion.
