Abstract

Development is essentially a process of activity that is always growing and sustainable. Sampang is one city where construction is increasing. Flooding and stagnant water that often occurs in the City Sampang is generally caused by high rainfall, reduced land as water infiltration, inadequate channel profile. Where urban development is so rapid yet balanced with a good drainage system. The purpose of this study was to evaluate and plan for re-drainage district. Sampang, then there will be improvement of the channel dimensions if it is unable to accommodate discharge as planned, look for a way out and provide input to cope with flooding and stagnant water Approaches undertaken in this study relates to the problem of flooding and inundation of water is by using the Log Pearson Type III method. In this method the variables used is the rainfall data and population growth. After doing the analysis, the existing channels are no longer able to accommodate the flow of rainwater and household wastewater. The above can be overcome with road repairs channel, for example by increasing the dimension of the channel, which is expected to improve the condition of the existing channels at this time. Based on the results of data analysis in the study area can be taken as follows: 1). The occurrence of standing water and flooding in the area of study due to the existence of several sections of the channel that the channel capacity is insufficient to accommodate the existing flood discharge. 2). It needs a plan dimension of the channel to channel capacity is insufficient: Jl Salak, Jl. Kenari, Jl. Imam Ghozali, Jl. Imam Bonjol, Jl. Rose, Jl. Trunojoyo, Jl. Mutiara, Jl. Jakgung Suprapto, Jl. Suhadak, Jl. KH. Agus Salim, Jl. Rajawali. 3). To keep the possibility of standing water and flooding in the area of study is necessary to further study by the addition of bypass channel that connects the main kesaluran. 4). With the application of a good drainage system will reduce water loss due to inundation and flooding.
