Abstract

In modern application development, high factors of speed, flexibility, and adaptability are required to meet the ever-changing needs of users. To meet these challenges, prototyping approaches have proven to be very effective in optimizing the application development process. This research proposes a comprehensive prototyping method tailored to the specific requirements of dynamic application development. This prototyping approach has the primary objective of enabling development teams to iteratively design, validate and refine application features and functions in a highly flexible environment. This brief details the key steps in the prototyping process, including requirements gathering, initial prototyping, user feedback gathering, and the continuous improvement process. This method also provides the benefits of reduced development time, increased user satisfaction, and improved software quality. Usability testing plays a crucial role in ensuring the success of modern applications by emphasizing user-oriented design and optimal user experience. In the variety of usability testing tools available, "Maze" has been Maze has proven to be a powerful and flexible platform for running usability tests that are both efficient and broad in scope. This brief provides an overview of usability testing methodologies, focusing on the benefits and unique features offered by Maze as a testing tool. The main goal of usability testing is to evaluate the extent to which an application can meet the needs and expectations of users. Through systematic assessment of user interactions and feedback, the results of this study produced a prototype of PT Solusi Energy Nusantara's attendance application. The results show that the design of PT Solusi Energy Nusantara's attendance application is very friendly for new users, which allows them to easily achieve their goals through this application. The results of testing using Maze showed that the app achieved high scores based on the overall response from respondents. Respondents' evaluation of the app's design reached an average of 87% with an overall percentage score of 88%. This indicates that the design of this application can be run well and is very easy to use by users. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the PT Solusi Energy Nusantara attendance application has implemented the User-Centered Design method very well and can be implemented in the system for further development, so that it becomes a highly optimized application.
