Abstract

Talking about work, especially relating to the profession as sales. Of course not free from the demands and constraints in marketing their products sales kekhalayak crowded. With a fairly strict level of competition in today's business world, the company PT. Source Suko Group Malang require precise and reliable sales and able to work optimally to achieve high performance. In this case, companies need sales with Type-A personality. with characteristics that better appreciate the time, work faster in getting the consumer, and have big ambitions to compete, will contribute to a company in the form of higher sales turnover. While the Type-B sales seem less able to work more optimal and less able to take advantage of the time, and less motivated to compete so that it can affect the value of its sales turnover is less than satisfactory which could eventually lead to losses for the company. The experiment was conducted on December 4 to 6 April 2006 in PT. Source Suko Malang Group which took place at Perum Griya Shanta G. No. 223. Respondents many as 45 people. Sales performance data known from the data documentation of the Company under study, and data to the personality-type A and type-B obtained with the scale of personality types. And to analyze the data using T-test techniques. Through data analysis found that the difference of a very significant achievement between personality type-A and Type-B (t = 9.455, p = 0.000). Where sales with Type-A personalities have a higher work performance (73.58) when compared with sales a Type B (48.63)
