Abstract

Most of Indonesia is prone to earthquakes. The building that collapsed during the earthquake occurs largely on simple buildings. Tembokan material strength is one determinant of strength tembokan wall. The variation of material strength tembokan significant between each region are different causes of damage variation, although the structure and maximum intensity of the quake was relatively similar. Tujan study is to determine compressive strength and tensile strength of mortar on each area review. The samples used as objects of study and 108 for compressive strength and 144 pieces for tensile strength. With the provision made mortar, using material from four areas namely Sernoboyo, Bantur, Ngantro, Muncar. For one area is divided into three kinds of mixtures and specimens of each composition was made nine specimens for compressive strength and 12 specimens for tensile strength. From the research results obtained: (1) For compressive strength with mixture composition 1pc: 0Kp: 3Ps has a mean value: 220 kg/cm2 (Sernoboyo), 128.89 kg / cm 2 (Muncar), 136.67 kg / cm 2 (Ngantro), 92.22 kg / cm2 (Bantur). The composition of the mixture 1pc: 1Kp: 5Ps have a mean value: 84.44 kg/cm2 (Sernoboyo), 34.44 kg/cm2 (Muncar), 46.67 kg/cm2 (Ngantro), 42.22 kg/cm2 (Bantur). The composition of the mixture 1pc: 3KP: 10Ps have a mean value: 21:11 kg/cm2 (Sernoboyo), 7:56 kg/cm2 (Muncar), 5:11 kg/cm2 (Ngantro), 4:44 kg/cm2 (Bantur). (2) For tensile strength with blend composition 1pc: 0Kp: 3Ps has a mean value: 28.15 kg/cm2 (Sernoboyo), 19:30 kg/cm2 (Muncar), 21.92 kg/cm2 (Ngantro), 17:19 kg/cm2 (Bantur). The composition of the mixture 1pc: 1Kp: 5Ps have a mean value: 14.65 kg/cm2 (Sernoboyo), 7:52 kg/cm2 (Muncar), 7:12 kg/cm2 (Ngantro), 7:59 kg/cm2 (Bantur). The composition of the mixture 1pc: 3KP: 10Ps have a mean value: 3.64 kg/cm2 (Sernoboyo), 1.89 kg/cm2 (Muncar), 1.96 kg/cm2 (Ngantro), 1.77 kg/cm2 (Bantur). From each region, which has a compressive strength and tensile strength of mortar is the highest use of local materials Sernoboyo (Pacitan). As for the Bantur (Malang) has a compressive strength and tensile strength is lowest. This proves that the sand from the area Sernoboyo (Pacitan) has good properties to be used as mortar mix.
